AN OVERVIEW OF ALL PROJECTS

ÜBER LEBENSKUNST.School – since September 2010
The educational programme for 18 artists and creative individuals was developed in cooperation with the Future Institute of the Free University of Berlin. During the Festival participants get to know, how the programme will be implemented.

 

ÜBER LEBENSKUNST.Initiatives – since September 2010 

Following a global call for project submissions, 14 initiatives were chosen to receive support for one year with up to €20,000. Their work will be on display at various locations throughout the city in 2011.

 

VORRATSKAMMER (larder) – since July 2010 

The one-year-long project of the artistic initiative, myvillages.org, explores the issues of food cultivation and food in and around Berlin and is responsible for catering at the festival. 

 

MEIN LIEBLINGSTEIL – starting in February 2011

The cycle of clothing production, sales and consumption is told using the stories of individual articles of clothing, the people who wear them and the people who make them. In several workshops during the Festival participants get the change to treat textiles creatively.

 

URBAN MOBILITY – starting in February 2011

New strategies for urban mobility will be developed and prototypes created for the festival on the basis of "innovative uses".

 

ÜBER LEBENSKUNST ANTHOLOGY – Suhrkamp Publishing August 2011

The anthology collects new literary and philosophical essays that reflect on future lifestyles in light of the environmental crisis.
